Program Overview

MCA  is a 2 year postgraduate course in Computers dealing with providing in-depth of Programming,Problem Solving Skills, and prepare them for various research activities.

 It deals with the advanced concepts of computers and incorporates  critical thinking in the minds of the students.

Students can get a chance in the financial sector and the government sector. They will be the best for the work profile as  database manager, data analyst, customer coordinator, credit analyst, Aptitude Trainer and quantitative risk analyst.

MCAA Pass in any degree with Mathematics at +2 levels or any degree with at least one paper in Mathematics or Statistics at degree level.

Credits & Evaluation

Modular Course:

The student must undergo compulsorily a PG Certificate  course offered by the department and the student is eligible to get 2 extra credits for each paper. This PG Certificate course consists of module 1, 2 and 3. Module 1 consists of 2 papers and Module 2 consists of 3 papers and Module 3 consists of 3 papers. Total credits of the modular course are 16. After the successful completion of the Module I , II and III, the students are eligible to get a “PG Certificate in Employability Skills Development”

The department offers Value Added Programmes apart from the regular Curriculum to the students of Computer Applications Department . Various VAP offered are as follows:

Extra Disciplinary Course: 

The student has to compulsorily select one Extra Disciplinary Course offered by other departments and is eligible to get 4 extra credits. This paper is offered as taught programme from 2015 batch onwards. 

Assessment an Evaluation

Two Continuous Internal Assessment, one model exam followed by End semester examination .
